If you changed your tag since the Reach Beta...

• Under My Account, on the General Tab, there's a new place to enter in your tag name for the Reach Beta. 
• This is useful if you renamed your tag since the beta and still want your stats to show on your Overview page
• The reason for this is that you can no longer collect Reach Beta stats, so the stats that were stored on HaloCharts may still be tied to your old tag name.

New Group Settings!

• You can now setup a Request Auto-response for your groups.  This is basically a message that is sent to the person requesting to join the group.  The message supports BBcode and can be used to inform them about your group or any specific instructions you need them to have in regards to joining the group.
• You can now turn off the option that allows Requests to join your groups.  If you turn this off members will not be allowed to request to join your group.  This is useful if you want a group to remain more private and not have to deal with requests to join it.
• Both of these settings are under the Edit Group page which you can get to from the My Groups section of the site.

HaloCharts Mobile Updated!

• [hc]hensods[/hc] has been hard at work updating the mobile version of HaloCharts to include a few things.
• First, the Stats section now shows Halo 3 and Reach, so once Reach comes out, you'll have quick access to many of your stats on the go!
• The Forums have been updated to show unread post counts next to each Forum section and will also show unread topics as bold, read topics as normal and locked topics as gray
• The Groups section has been improved to correctly list all of the groups you own and the groups you are in
• The overall appearance of the app has been improved some as well with a few graphics and some text to help explain a few things

Two Very Irritating Things Fixed :)

• First thing fixed today that was highly irritating to many people:  When you edit a post, you will now be returned to the correct page and the actual post you just edited.
• Second thing fixed that was highly irritating to many people: My Messages now has Page Numbers, so for all of you that keep lots of messages the list will load much faster
• More to come!

• In preparation for Halo Reach we are expecting a lot of new comers and an increase in forum and overall website activity. The rules have been given a bit of a face lift as a result.
• The rules are pretty much the same, some have been detailed out a little bit more to give better explanations to them. There have also been several small additions.

The Gauntlet 2 & ENDURANCE

• The HCPL is running two awesome tournaments that will be taking place soon...

Congratulations again to this months winners. The signature system for Halo Reach is going to bigger and better than ever with all new layouts, more stats and more variety. • HaloDesktops.com is a new site I have started to be a place where you can easily find Halo art setup for your computer, ipad, iphone, ipod, android phone, etc.

HaloSphere Update: Bounty System

• A new system has been started in the game allowing you to accept bounties on other players. 
• You are given 5 members to go after and once you successfully defeat them in the given amount of time, you are rewarded for your work
• It's a new system that will lead to more and more updates, but has already changed the way the game is played, including how much certain items are worth
• If you haven't played in a while, jump in!

My Account Improvements

• The My Account page has been revamped with a Tab Interface to be easier to use when you need to change your account settings.
• There were getting to be way to many options to list in a single section, so this new Tab Interface should make it easier to find what you are looking for
• Our new developer [hc]hensods[/hc] made this happen!  He's just started jumping in on the technical side of things here at HC, but he's going to be a big help going forward.

Get your PM's in your email!

• There is now an option under My Account to get an email whenever someone sends you a message here.
• The email will contain the entire message as well as a link to come back to HC to reply to the message
• You must turn this ON under My Account as it will be off by default
• Also, the Forum List page now has an icon for each forum, just to make things a little prettier.

Forum Structure Changes

• I've decided to restructure the forum section of the site to be more traditional.  Instead of being links under Community to each forum, there is a single link to "Forum" now.  From there you can jump to any of the main HC forums.
• This new Forum page gives you a summary of all the unread posts you have, totals and last post details for each forum.
• This will also allow me to easily add forums as the site grows and the need comes up.  The Community drop-down was getting pretty long and was actually being cut off by the Google Ads if you aren't a Supporter.
• There are some other nice additions to the forum in the works, so stay tuned!

100,000 Registered Members!

• After almost 3 years, HaloCharts has finally reached the 100,000 mark for registered accounts.  I'm going to try to do some digging to see who is the actual 100,000th member (not as easy as you'd think as accounts have been deleted, etc, so the database ids don't automatically match blah blah blah)
• Anyways, just wanted to point this out because I think it's cool.  :)

If your recent Halo 3 games aren't loading....

• Had quite a few people ask why their games aren't loading in, and it looks like it's a problem on Bungie's end.
• I think this is probably related to Bungie upgrading their servers and they mentioned that stats are still tracking, but could be delayed.
• Anyways, if your recent games aren't loading check and make sure they show up on your Matchmaking Games list on your Bungie profile.  If not, feel free to shoot us a Contact message and we'll take a look.

Days to Halo Reach Android Widget!

• If you have a phone running Android 1.6 at least, you can now download the "Days to Halo Reach" widget!  Just go into the Android Market and search for "Days to Halo Reach"
• It's a simple widget showing a countdown in days to the release of Halo Reach
• I'm excited to get it up and published in the Android Marketplace!  It's a super simple app, but it's the first step towards more apps and widgets that tie into HaloCharts!

• New on Overview pages: You're very own Shout box!  
• It's just like the other boxes in that you can re-order and hide it
• Anyone can shout in them, but you can delete shouts made in your own shout box

Death of a True Titan 

After 18 months and more than 4100 submitted games, Halocharts' Campaign Challenge is coming to a close...

• For those of you still sitting out there with an incomplete award set, now is your time to jump and truly [i]finish that fight![/i]

• Tons of effort has gone into designing and running this Halo 3 Campaign-based challenge - A special thanks goes out to all of you who have helped create, manage and play this incredible masterpiece.
  
  
• Unfortunately the massive amount of  work coming up for Halo challenges in the near future will render the management of this particular challenge to be far too difficult and complex to keep going.

6 new Halo 3 Player Classifications!

• The requirements for these new classes have been done for a while, but it took some constant reminders from [hc]TsengMao x MT[/hc] and [hc]TMS LW198[/hc] to get my butt into gear and add them to the site!
• The new classifications are for Grifball, Zombies, Humans, Hornets, Choppers, and Shotgunners.  Full descriptions of their requirements as well as the rest of the classifications can be found here.
• Small update:  When you collect player data for Halo 3 / ODST, the return links take you back to your Halo 3 page and not the Overview page now.

Accepting HC Staff Applications

• As Reach is fast approaching, we will probably be extending the members of the HC Staff.  I've setup a staff application form as a way to gather up possible candidates for the future.  This doesn't mean a free ticket to Staff, but it's a way that you can put your name in the hat and tell us why you would be a good choice to become a Prophet down the road.

Hammer of Justice once again open for business

• The Hammers of Justice took a break to regroup and rethink a few rules for banning from the leaderboards.  After quite a few weeks of talk and discussion, they are once again ready to accept cheating reports in an attempt to keep the leaderboards here on HC free from cheaters and boosters.
• This is a near-impossible task, but one that is at least attempted by a really strong group of players that care about the way the game is played.  I really can't thank the team (and its past members) enough for the work and time they spend doing this unforgiving, thankless job.

• HCS is a better acronym in that this is HaloCharts, not ReachCharts :)

Reach Beta Headshot Percentages

• Headshot Percentage is now being computed for your Reach Beta stats
• This stat is computed for Standard, Arena and Invasion
• Leaderboards for this stat have also been setup, but it will take a day at least before they all update

• Just collect your player data again on your Reach Beta pages and your Invasion stats will load in.

• Vehicle stats and leaderboards are up for Invasion now too!
• Even more Overview page header graphics for Maps and Vehicles, thanks to [hc]Surpriser[/hc]

A Ton of New Overview Top Graphics

• [hc]Surpriser[/hc] is a busy dude.  He sent me 120 more top graphics for the Overview pages, and they're up!  Check them out and there's at least 10 for every Halo 3 Armor variation now.
• He also setup some new buttons for the other Player Pages to match the new main theme
• Reach Beta pages now include your division and it shows in the Top 10

Reach Beta Summary Box on Overview

• The Reach Beta Summary boxes on Player Pages now works.  
• It's too bad that Bungie's stat pages don't include your actual Player Model, which is the reason everybody looks the same
• Added KAPD to Reach Beta Top 10
• Took the pound sign (#) out of the rank column on Beta Stats so that you could correctly sort it

Halo: Reach Talk Forum

• Halo Talk is now split up into Halo 3 Talk and Halo: Reach Talk.  Quite a few people messaged me about doing that, so thanks!  I may add another General Halo section later on for Halo 2, Wars, etc..
• RCS is up for Standard and Arena.  The Formula is not public and is still being tuned.  Expect your score to fluctuate over this week. 
• Top 10 for Reach Beta has been added to the front page
• You can see your RCS and Rank on your player pages now for Reach Beta and the RCS Leaderboards are up also.
• Should have the Reach Beta Summary boxes working tomorrow.

Halo: Reach Beta Leaderboards & Stats!

• The Halo: Reach Beta section of the site is now open!
• If you're a supporter, you can load in your Beta stats now.  Just go to My Stats > Halo: Reach Beta
• More will be added over the next few weeks during the beta, including Invasion and Vehicle stats
• Ranks will work themselves out over time, so don't be too proud of yourself when you see #1 by you're name, lol.

• The Want to Play section now has Halo: Reach Beta as an option
• Stat Collection works again, but there are a few restrictions now.  Only 5 people can be updating at the same time, so you may get messages telling you to try again later.  This was done to reduce the load that HC makes against Bungie.net
• Salutes and the button have been added to the new Overview player page
• POTD and Veteran Awards are now visible on the Overview player page
• Got some cool stuff coming out on Monday!

NEW PLAYER PAGES!!!

• I'm happy to release something I've been working on for a while, new player pages!  
• These pages are the new hub for all of your Halo stats, and do NOT replace the Halo3 player pages you are used to.  
• When you click on My Stats, you'll see the new pages that have boxes for each Halo Game and some other related things.  If you're a supporter, you can customize the order and visibility of each box and you can also change the top graphic (thanks to Surpriser for the first batch of top graphics!)
• Now, for each Game Summary box there's a link button on the right to take you to that game's player page, and you'll be back to the pages you're used to seeing
• Also, HC is on a brand new server that will allow for more growth going forward this year.  I'm glad to have that part done.

• It was 5V5 capture the flag on a custom map in complete darkness.
